Accenture is an Irish based multinational company. Accenture provides Professional Information Technology services and consulting. It covers worldwide requests. Accenture was founded in 1989 and was formerly known as Andersen Consulting up to 2000. On 1^st January 2001, Andersen Consulting came to be known as “Accenture”.

Why Was It Given The Name “Accenture”?

In 2003, Accenture was engaged in an IT overhaul project, for British National Health Services (NHS). Unfortunately, the contract was withdrawn in 2006 when the disputes about delays and cost overruns came in.

Julie Sweet was appointed as Accenture’s new CEO (Chief Executive Officer) on 11^th July 2019. Julie sweet accepted her office on 1^st September 2019. 

So, who is Julie Sweet? Julie Terese Sweet was born in 1966. She did her BA (Bachelor of Arts) from Claremont McKenna College and her JD (Juris Doctor degree) from Columbia Law School. She is married to Chad Creighton Sweet and they both have two lovely daughters. She Is an American Business executive. She was also dubbed "one of the most influential women in corporate America" by "The New York Times." Julie Sweet was also named as “Most Powerful Women” list in 2016 through 2019 by Fortune.

What did Julie Sweet do before joining Accenture?

Before joining Accenture, she worked as an attorney at a law firm Cravath, Swaine and Moore. She has worked for 17 years at the firm. She replaced CEO David Rowland, from Accenture.

Accenture Vs TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) Is Accenture Better than TCS?

Tata Consultancy Services is said to be highly rated for Job security and advancement whereas Accenture is rated highly for culture. CEO of Accenture is Julie Sweet and CEO of Tata Consultancy Services is Rajesh Gopinathan, they both seem to be pretty satisfied with their job.

Now, what about employees?

79% of Accenture employees are satisfied with their pay whereas only 50% of the Tata Consultancy Services are said to be satisfied with their pay.

Is it Difficult to Get in Accenture?

Accenture is well-known for selecting the best candidates only. So, Accenture’s Interviews can be pretty challenging if you compare them to other companies, or other corporates. The questions can be tricky and the interview format is very specific to Accenture, but it isn’t impossible to crack.

With a little bit of preparation and understanding of what Accenture needs in their employee, you may be able to make it through the cut.

There are three rounds in Accenture interviews:

·      Verbal Ability round/written round

·      Technical Interview

·      HR round

For the very first round: In the Verbal or written Round, the candidates are judged on three sectors- analytical aptitude, verbal ability and attention to detail.

The next Round is the Technical Round and by the sound of it, you know it’s for your technical skills to be tested, your programming knowledge about Java, C, C++, etc. are tested.

And for the last round, that is the HR round, your communication skills and professional skills are checked.

Should You Join Accenture?

While Accenture is an excellent company, you may need to seek opportunities beyond higher pay. A strong growth route in your stream should be your first focus. Accenture has a mix of excellent and bad SFDC projects.

There are technical differences between SFDC and other programming languages, platforms, and so forth. Because SFDC has an industry flavour, a diversity of needs across various clients can help you considerably expand your expertise. As a result, you'll be able to advance as a consultant on the platform.

Numerous captive firms demand SFDC specialists, and you'll get the opportunity to learn about the requirements for a certain sector. The CoE model for service-oriented firms may put pressure on you to expand up quickly.
