The series shows a crowd of 456
players all into debt and are experiencing the sourest taste of their life,
economic struggles and depression. And they have lost hope in life.
Life always gives us options and
so do the story that gave the 456 players to win a hefty amount of billions.
Seong
Gi Hun is the main character of the
story who is in debt as the other players.
He is facing economic as well as
family trauma as his wife and daughter left him.
He had left his job to open up a
business of a restaurant. A lot of loans was taken for this process. He could
not run his business so he went into debt and depression.
He was unable to pay for his
daughter's gift and fried chicken on her birthday.
The money which his mother gave
for his granddaughter was later used by him to win a horse race gamble.
But misfortune followed and his
money was taken by a girl who picked his pocket.
The girl who looted him was also
among some of the lead characters we will see in episode 3.
All the players who were in the
game were facing an economic crisis and they were the people who could have done
anything for money.
They were given an invitation card
and 10000 won money if they win a simple game they used to play in their
childhood.
Most of them won the money and in
need of more money, they joined in.
