Let me first introduce you to the term 'web development.
As the name suggests, it is made up of two words i.e: web and
development.
On one hand where web
refers to the web pages, websites or anything working on the Internet while on
the other hand development refers to
the building of applications from the ground up.
What is web
development?
Web development refers to the process of designing, developing
and managing websites in simple terms. Web design, web publishing, website
maintenance and database administration are all included in web development.
Well, web development
can be classified into two categories:

Front end programming/development and
- •
Backend programming/development.
What is Front-end
development?
Front end development refers to the section of
a website with which the user interacts directly. It is also referred to as the
application’s ‘client side’.
It includes the various
terms and functionalities namely:
Html- Full form of HTML is
‘hypertext markup language'. It is a markup language that is used to design the
front end of web pages. Since it is used to create the framework of a website,
it works as a skeleton.
CSS- Full form of CSS is
cascading style sheets. It is a simple language meant to make the process of
making web pages presentable easier. Website is styled using CSS.
JavaScript- JavaScript is a
programming language that allows our website to have dynamic behaviour i.e; it
helps to get the website into function.
Bootstrap- Bootstrap is a toolkit
for building responsive websites and online apps that is free and open source.
It is the most widely used CSS framework for creating mobile-first, responsive
websites. Nowadays, web pages are optimised for all browsers and all screen
sizes.
